A Day of Air Fryer Recipes

Breakfast – Baked Maple and Cranberry Oatmeal

Mix the ingredients and place into the ramekins and leave the Air Fryer to do all the work – a hassle free recipe to start the day.  Recipe makes 4 ramekins, so perfect if you are making breakfast for the whole family!

INGREDIENTS

  • 200g banana, mashed
  • 100g quick oats
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • 75ml milk

For serving: maple syrup, sliced almonds and dried cranberries.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, combine the mashed banana, vanilla extract, honey, eats and eggs.
  2. When mixed well, add the yoghurt and the milk gradually until you form a pancake batter consistency.
  3. Divide the batter into 4 x 175ml ramekins and place into the frying chamber.
  4. Select the Air Fry function and adjust the temperature to 200°C and the time to 8 minutes, then press Start.
  5. Ignore when the display indicates “Add Food” (as your ramekins will already be inside) and when the display indicates “Turn Food” do nothing.
  6. When the Air Fry programme is complete, remove the ramekins from the frying chamber and leave to cool.
  7. Once cooled slightly, give the oats a stir and top with maple syrup, sliced almonds, and dried cranberries.

Lunch – Cheese Toastie

You can’t beat a classic toastie. Simple & delicious, you’ll want to keep both sandwiches for yourself!

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 slices bread
  • 3 tbsp butter softened
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices edam cheese
  • 2 slices provolone cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Generously butter two slices of bread and place, buttered side down inside the frying chamber.
  2. Top buttered bread with cheddar, edam, and provolone.
  3. Generously butter remaining two slices of bread and top the sandwiches, buttered side up.
  4. Select the Air Fry function, then adjust the temperature to 190°C and the time to 9 minutes.
  5. Ignore when the display indicates “Add Food” as the toasties will already be in position!
  6. When the display indicates “Turn Food” carefully flip the sandwiches.
  7. Check the sandwiches periodically for the last couple of minutes of the timer and remove them as soon as they are a rich golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm.

Dinner – Honey Dijon Pork Schnitzel

A fancy take on the traditional breaded recipe that will be a winner for dinner! And trust us, don’t scrimp on the Dijon mustard, if anything maybe add an extra tbsp!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp liquid honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 85g dry seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 30g cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 boneless pork chops, pounded thin (about 225-250g each)
  • Sauerkraut warmed
  • Non-stick cooking spray

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare for dredging: In a bowl, combine lemon juice, honey and mustard, and in a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cheese, salt and black pepper.
  2. Dip pork into lemon juice mixture, then into breadcrumbs, and lay on to a tray. Spray pork schnitzels on both sides with cooking spray.
  3. Select the Air Fry function and adjust the temperature to 190°C and time to 12 minutes. Press Start.
  4. When display indicates “Add Food,” open the frying chamber and carefully place the schnitzels inside.
  5. When display indicates “Turn Food,” turn the schnitzel over.
  6. Cook until lightly browned and internal cooked temperature indicates 71°C (if you have a meat thermometer) Or cut the schnitzel open and check the meat is no longer pink inside.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with warm sauerkraut.

Dessert – Chocolate Molten Lava Cakes

Because everyone deserves a sweet treat after dinner, get the ramekins out again, its time to make individual chocolate desserts that the whole family will love!

INGREDIENTS

  • Butter for greasing ramekins
  • 250g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 130g unsalted butter
  • 130g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 130g plain flour

For serving: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Grease 4 x 175ml ramekins with butter, including bottom and sides; set aside.
  2. In a medium-size bowl, combine chocolate and unsalted butter. Place over a pot of hot water to create a bain-marie and stir until chocolate and butter are melted.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs together with the sugar until thick, then stir in the flour and mix well. Pour the melted chocolate slowly into the egg mixture and mix well.
  4. Divide the batter into ramekins and place them in refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Select the Bake programme and set the temperature to 180°C and time to 13 minutes (for a gooey centre) or 14 minutes (for a firmer centre).
  6. When display indicates “Add Food,” place the ramekins inside the frying chamber.
  7. Bake for time, or until the tops have formed a crust (check with a couple of minutes to go.)
  8. Once ready, remove the drawer from the Vortex and leave the ramekins to rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Use a small knife to loosen the cakes from the ramekin and turn them over onto a serving plate (careful as the ramekins will be very hot!)
  10. Serve vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
