Sous Vide (pronounced sue-veed) meaning “under vacuum” in French, is a cooking technique that involves vacuum sealing food in a bag, and cooking at a precise temperature water bath. No other technique compares to the consistent results achieves with Sous Vide, cooking food to the exact level of doneness, without fail time and time again.
Most Instant Pots have a Sous Vide function (except for the Instant Pot Duo and Duo Nova) and it is possibly one of the most underused functions of our multi-pressure cookers. But we’d like to change that.
For those of you who follow a plant based or meat free diet, don’t be fooled that in order to use the Sous Vide function you have to cook a recipe involving meat. Of course, Sous Vide is fabulous for cooking steak, lamb and other meats, but we have collated 6 delicious recipes that are meat-free for you to try, and you may not have even realised you could make using the Sous Vide function of your Instant Pot!
